Nice looking convertible… the Fuchs are almost standard on VW these days, but they do look nice. If you hadn’t guessed, this was taken from HERE.

Here is what I was referring to. Check the stock convertible lid, then look how the vertical lines on the lid don’t line up with the vertical lines on the body. If this lid was on a convertible it would look fine, but having it on a hardtop just looks odd to me. I wonder if it might look better if the outside three louvers were removed so the outside of the vents on the lid matched more closely to the body vents? Or I could just be too picky.

So I’m putting this 1958 convertible beetle on the block. I threw it on the local ACVW site and got a lot of interest. I’m looking to trade for a good running 36hp motor or plain ole’ cash so I can get the 36er I have started. Anyway, a little sad to see it go, but honestly its a bit new (like not pre 57) and I’m not going to get to it any time soon. So, hopefully it will be bought and can get back on the road. I don’t think it has been on the road for over 20 years. ##SOLD##
