This 53’ belongs to a friend. I can’t help but share this photo. I love the stance, the Fuchs.. everything looks great. This is the first of the ovals produced in 1953. Al Reed polished wheels, 25hp. Swedish import. Sorry Mike, I had to share.
I ‘m slowly getting the oval together again. Here I’m running a wiring harness through the body from the dash to the engine compartment. The fish tape made this fairly straight forward. I checked through all the reference I could find and from what I read I decided to run the harness down the passenger side. Not sure about the interior light above the drivers side door, I guess that is a separate run? Anyway it is it now, so hopefully it is correct.
Started stripping down my 1956 hardtop beetle today. Needs a bit of work, but isn’t that bad, I mean it wasn’t in a rollover and isn’t completely rusted through. Hope to have it on the road for the GCVW which is August 14th… hmmm
